Roberta Diamond is an Australian soprano working across opera, early music, Lieder and ensemble performance. She also collaborates with folk musicians from all over the world in cross-cultural projects and composes her own music.
Roberta has appeared at festivals such as Trigonale Festival der Alten Musik, Laus Polyphoniae Antwerpen, MA Festival Brugge, the Utrecht Oude Muziek Festival, the Goan Festival of Sacred Music in India and the International Festival of Baroque Music in Bolivia. She has worked as a soloist with ensembles including Spira Mirabilis, Academy of Ancient Music, La Cetra Barockorchester, Pinchgut Opera, The Song Company and Sollazzo Ensemble.
Her recent opera roles include Miss Jessel (The Turn of The Screw), Dido (Dido & Aeneas), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Miles (Turn of the Screw), Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Amore (L’incoronazione di Poppea), Galatea (Acis & Galatea), Ninfa/Proserpina (Orfeo), Amour (Platée), Melanto and Giunone (Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria), Jessie (Mahagonny Songspiel) and Giacinta (L’Orontea).
Roberta studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and is now based in Basel, Switzerland.
